Client:  a full service structural engineering firm located in Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Project Area:  Sales and Marketing

Project Summary:  an existing Access database (the client managed their customers with this database) was greatly in need of being updated.  We have an individual on our team who had experience with client management databases and could easily make the enhancements to their existing database.   She worked with the client to understand their needs and how they wanted to use the database.  From there, she set forth a plan to make 20-25 updates to the database.  The biggest element was to make the database more user-friendly.  Now the client is using it on a daily basis and with much more ease.

Project Detail:  A past consultant of the Beaird Group brought this project to our attention.  She had originally developed an Access database for a relative to manage his clients & projects several years back.  Since that time, she started working full time.  Her relative came to her to make some updates to the database, but she did not have the time.  She recommended that he contact the Beaird Group. 

Accolades:  The major improvements to the database were completed last fall; however, the client still contacts our consultant every month or so to make minor edits and updates.  They like the ability to contact us when they need us…knowing that we will be able to support them at any given time.  It also lets us know that they are using the database regularly or they would not be asking us to make further updates.
